Gītāsubodhinī

The bundle contains three texts: Gītāsubodhinī (also named Gītāṭīkā) is a Bhagavad-Gītā commentary by Śrīdhara (Śrīdharasvāmin). The text is complete except few words missing in the end of the text. It corresponds to EAP790/21/15 (Suprasanna Vajracharya Collection in Patan, Nepal). Date of return after borrowing given on a flying leaf: ambirakal ezhutuvān koṇṭupōya grantam 1014 (= 1839 CE) kanni (July / August) 15nu tiriye koṇṭuvannirikannu. Date of copy is therefore prior to 1839 (images 0009-0215). This follows on with an anonymous commentary on Gītā 16.8. The text is incomplete. It is a stray leaf inserted between ff. 83 and 84 of the main text (images 0216-0217). A short text on the relation of Brahman to the Sāṃkhya tattvas. In Malayalam (images 0218-0221).

Extent: 110 leaves.

Condition of original material: Generally good. First part has extensive damage.
