Jadid ol Eslam Collection of Iranian Photographs [c 1880-1979]

This fonds consists of digital copies of a sample of Jadid ol Eslam's collection of Iranian photographs. The entire collection is estimated by Jadid ol Eslam to contain 3,000 pieces made up of glass plate negatives, gelatin negatives and original prints. 19 of these were digitised as part of the EAP001 project Faces and Places in Iran: Iranian Photography at the Turn of the 20th Century.

The photographs are known to cover the Qajar and Pahlavi I and II dynasties in Iran [c 1880-c 1979].

The original items measure 6 x 9cm, 9 x 12cm, 13 x 18cm and 18 x 24cm.
