Aims and objectives
EAP1454 plans to preserve and digitise a manuscript collection in Palembang. This collection contains 30 manuscripts covering diverse subjects, from historical records of the Sultanate Palembang Darussalam during the Dutch Colonial era to Sammaniyah spiritual teachings, customary laws, prophecies and local wisdoms. Given the vulnerable condition of these scripts, they will be digitised for this project. EAP1454 will conduct training for the team and members of manuscripts community to increase their knowledge on the proper handling of ancient manuscripts.
