Tribhuvan International Airport. During the 1960s and 1970s, USAID and other donors provided communication and navigation equipment to the Kathmandu airport and six other airfields around the country. Royal Nepal Airlines Corporation (RNAC) officials were provided training, and in 1961 three DC-3 and two STOL Pilatus Porter aircraft were provided to the fledging RNAC.
