Pha Phoumy Phalappattao, Abbot of Vat Nong Si Khun MeuangDates: born in 1921 at Ban Vat Nong, died on June 11, 1995 at Vat Nong SikhounmueangBiography: Pha Phoumy Phalappatta Thera was born in B. E. 2464, A. D. 1921 at Ban Vat Nong and was brother of Pha Oun Heuane Hasapanyo (photographer monk). He was ordained as a monk on July 8, 1941 at Vat Siphoutthabat by Somdej Pha Sangharaj Dhammayana Mahathera of Vat Mai Suvannaphumaram who was his preceptor, Pha Somchin Sirichantho of Vat Aphai and Pha Khamfan Silasangvaro of Vat Suvanna Khili who was his prayers. He was the abbot continued from Pha Khamdi Tissapanyo who was his master. He and his brother, Pha Oun Heuane rebuilt the Sim of Vat Nong started in 1965 to finish in 1980s. He was a monk who had a good temper, cool hearted and walked very quiet. He passed away on June 11, 1995 at the age of 74.
