The main Buddha statue of Vat Manolom,before standing inside the old Sim behind that was destroyed during black Haw came to sacking town in 1887 and arms was broken cause called broken arms statue! this Buddha statue is biggest and oldest statue in Laos,was bronze and cast in 1372, BE1915,H=6m,weighs two tonns(total weighs 12 tonns),before statue body was broken head and waist remain,after Pha One Ta Santapanyo was abbot in 1965 then built the new Sim and bring this Buddha statue come to inside,(read more in formetion at D-6593).This photo was taken in 1901.
