The eighteen elbows Buddha statue is located at Vat Saen Sukharam. The reason that we called "The eighteen elbows Buddha statue" because the Buddha statue is eighteen elbows height. It was built in 1738, and it was 234 years in 1972 and it was very shabby. It was repaired in 1972 by Pha Khamchan Virachitta Maha Thela (1920-2007), the abbot of Vat Saen Sukharam. It is the most beautiful and the biggest standing Buddha statue in Luang Prabang. (This photograph is the same collection as X1938).
