Boat-racing festival on Nam Khan River, Luang Prabang on Bun Hor Khao Pa Dap Din (festival of rice-packets decorating the earth) on the waning moon of the 9th lunar month in B.E. 2511 (A.D. 1968). There is a handwritten message of Pha Khamchan Virachitta Maha Thela, Abbot of Vat Saen Sukharam on this photograph "The 2nd racing-boat of Vat Saen Sukharam racing with the racing-boat of Ban Pha Nom in 1968".
