A memorial of the Lao Buddhist Sangha, heads by Somdet Pha Sangkhalat Dhammayana Maha Thela (Bunthan Bupharat) of Vat Mai Suvannaphumaram are Lao representatives to participate in the 2500th Buddha Jayanti Celebration in Sri Lanka in B.E.2499 (A.D.1956). They posing for a portrait with Sri Lankan monks and people. Lao Sangkha standing from the left in front: Pha Fanh Tissavangso, Abbot of Vat Mai Suvannaphumaram, Pha Maha Samlan, Abbot of Vat Ong Teu, Vientiane, Somdet Pha Sangkhalat Dhammayana Maha Thela (Bunthan Bupharat) of Vat Mai Suvannaphumaram, Pha Khamfan Silasangvara Maha Thela, Abbot of Vat Suvannakhili, Pha Khamchan Virachitta Thela, Abbot of Vat Saen Sukharam, Pha Phia Phatthaman (Oun) Phatthalamuni of Vat Mai Suvannaphumaram and two unidentified monks. The monk standing behind is Pha Maha Khamphaeng Saengsavang, Lao student monk in Sri Lanka.
