Boats Racing Festival on the Nam Khan, Luang Prabang on Bun Hor Khao Pa Dap Din (festival of rice-packets decorating the earth) on the waning moon of the 9th lunar month in the 1990s. Pha Khamchan Virachitta Maha Thela, Abbot of Vat Saen Sukharam is interested and has seen an importance of this festival. To preserve sacred ceremonies and traditions of Luang Prabang, two racing-boats of Vat Saen (Vat Saen 1 and Vat Saen 2) were built in 1967 and 1972 by Pha Khamchan and they continually won the 1st or 2nd reward, they are now kept at their house at Vat Saen Sukharam.
