The man sitting on the right hand of Pha Khamchan is Mr. Ajan Bunpheng Sioudomphan, a pupil as a foster-son of Pha Khamchan. There is a handwritten message by Pha Khamchan on the verso of this photograph "October 21, 1988. Pha Khamchan Virachitta Thera of Vat Saen Sukharam gives money 20000 Kips and seven beds with their complements to the Provincial Hospital of Luang Prabang during Het Bun (merit-making) on the 68th Birthday Celebration".
