Pha Khrouba Sivichai, the Saint of Lanna in the Northern Thailand.Biography: Pha Khrouba Sivichai was originally named Fueane or In Fueane, but someone called him Ai Fa Hong due to while his mother was giving birth of him it was raining and thundering hardly. He was born on 11 of June B.E. 2421 (A.D. 1878) at Pang village, Mae Tuen village group (where there is niow Sivichai village group), Ly District, Lamphoun Province, Kingdom of Thailand who is a son of Mr. Khouay and Mrs. Ousa who have 5 children, they are Mr. Wai, Ms. Ouan, Mr. Infueane (Pha Khrouba Sivichai), Ms. Vaen and Mr. Tha. He was ordained as a novice at the age of 18 at Vat Ban Pa Chang which his Pha Khrouba Khattiya who is a Dhudung (ascetic) monk is his preceptor, and he was ordained as a Bhikkhu at the age of 21 in B.E. 2442 at Vat Ban Huang Luang, Ban Huang District, Lamphoun Province, under the preceptor of Pha Khrouba Samana, and he was named Sirivichayo Bhikhu, and he was titled Pha Sivichai.After he was ordained as a monk, he passed the Buddhist retreat (Vassa) at Vat Ban Pang for 1 Vassa, then he had been for his further studies of Kammadhana (the basis of meditation practices or the stages of mental exercises) and magical formula with Pha Khrouba Oupala at Vat Doi Tae, Mae Tha District, Lamphoun Province for a year, then returned to passed Vassa at Vat Ban Pang again. After the death of Pha Khrouba Khattiya, he was oppointed to be the abbot of Vat Ban Pang, after that he developed and improved Vat Ban Pang to be Kammadhana monastery until now. He died on 22 of March B.E. 2481 (A.D. 1938) at Vat Ban Pang, at the age of 60. His relics was divided to 7 parts and were buried at important sites in the land of Lanna, there are Vat Chamdhevi in Lamphoun, Vat Suan Dok in Chiang Mai, Vat Kaeo Dok Tao in Lampang, Vat Sikhomkham in Phayao, Vat Pha Dhartu Chor Hae in Phrae, Vat Nam Ork Hou in Mae Hongson and Vat Ban Pang in Ly District, Lamphoun Province.
