Preservation of Lao Manuscripts Programme was established in 1999 by the Government of Lao P.D.R and the Gervernment of Federation of Germany Cooperation. Sathou Onkeo Kittiphattho, Abbot of Vat Pak Khan (on the left in front), monks and novices and officials from Department of Information and Culture of Luang Prabang province doing a research, cleaning and registering numbers of Lao manuscripts in the main hall of Vat Saen Sukharam.
