Preservation of Lao Manuscripts Programme was established in 1999 by the Government of Lao P.D.R and the Gervernment of Federation of Germany Cooperation. Sathou Onkeo Kittiphattho, Abbot of Vat Pak Khan and officials from Department of Information and Culture of Luang Prabang province doing a research, cleaning and registering numbers of Lao manuscripts at a Kuti of Vat Xiengthong.
