Monks group portrait [1960s]

The Bodhi tree (the tree which the buddha was enlightened) in Phousi mountain in 1960s. The ambassador of India who was stationed in Laos brought it from the Buddhagaya (the place where the Buddha was enlightened) to plant at the west of Phousi mountain for Buddhist jayanti (B.E 2500). Left to right: Sathou Phoummy Phalappatto (the abbot of Vat Nong Sikounmeuang), Sathou Nyai Khamchan Virachitto (the abbot of Vat Saen), Phra Ajan Maha Padith Phouttakhosako from Vientiane and Sathou Bounthan of Mahathat in Luang Prabang.
