Sathou Nyai Bounthan Pounyakamo, currently abbot of Vat Pa Phon Phao. The photo was taken on the 13th of January, 2004, when he had 47 years . After Sathou Nyai Khamchan Virachitta Mahathera, Abbot of Vat Saen Sukharam, Chief-monk of the Provincial Buddhist Fellowship Organization of Luang Prabang passed away in July 2007, he was nominated by the Lao Buddhist Fellowship Organization to be the Chief-monk of the Provincial Buddhist Fellowship Organization of Luang Prabang in the place of Sathou Nyai Khamchan until the present day.
