A procession of Somdej Phra Sangharaj Dhammayana Mahathera (Bounthan Boupharat) from Vat Long Khoun near Ban Xieng Maen to Vat Mai Souvannaphoumaram in B.E. 2483 (C.E. 1940). Since Vat Long Khoun was located on the right bank of the Mekong and it was transferred to Siam by the French, King Sisavangvong invited Somdej Phra Sangharaj Dhammayana Mahathera to stay at Vat Mai Souvannaphoumaram. This photo shows the procession arriving at Vat Mai Souvannaphoumaram.
