Buddhist nuns from Vat Nong Sikhounmeuang, practised Vipassana (insight meditation) in the forest near Vat Long Khoun, Ban Xieng Maen, Chomphet District, Luang Prabang in 1950s. This photograph was taken by Sathou Ounheuan Hasapanyo of Vat Nong Sikhounmeuang, who is also the younger brother of Sathou Nyai Phoumy Phalappatto (the abbot of Vat Nong Sikhounmeuang).
