Dhammekasathoup (now Saranath) in Pharanasi, India. It was where the Buddha gave Dhammacakkappavattansutta (the first sernon) for Pancavaggiya (the five ascetics: Annakondanna, Vappa, Bhaddhiya, Mahanama and Assaji). This postcard is from the collection of Sathou Khamchan Virachitto, the Abbot of Vat Saen Sukharam, remembering his visit to India in 1957.
