Travel [1967]

Sathou Nyai Khamchan Virachitto, Abbot of Vat Saen Sukharam (right) and Sathou Ounheuan Hasapanyo from Vat Nong Sikhounmeuang (far left) took Lao people from Luang Prabang on a tour to the South of Laos in 1967. This photograph was taken at a Lao traditional wooden house which has a three-headed elephant as a logo. The logo shows that in former times Laos had three Kingdoms: the Kingdom of Luang Prabang (Northern Laos), the Kingdom of Vientiane (Central Laos) and the Kingdom of Champassack (Southern Laos).
