This photograph was taken at Vat Phou, Champasack Province, in the 1950s when they participated in the Phra That Sikhottaboun celebration in Thakhek District, Khammoune Province. The Phra That Sikhottaboun celebration is very important for Lao people in Southern Laos, especially for people of Thakhek District. This was why the Sangharaj Dhammayana Mahathera and other important monks from Luang Prabang were participating in this event every year.
