Sathou Nyai Khamchan Virachitto, at the age of 35, the abbot of Vat Saen Sukharam has practiced Vipassana meditation and Rookkhamol meditation (staying under the tree) in Xieng Maen field, Chomphet District, Luang Prabang in 1955.
