Morning alms giving ceremony at the Royal Palace in 1970s.Sathou Nyai Khamfanh Silasangvara Mahathera, the abbot of Vat Khili and the former chief monk of Buddhist Sangha of Luang Prabang (Chao Khana Khuaeng Luang Prabang) receiving morning alms from lay people at the Royal Palace, Luang Prabang on the 15th day of the waning moon of the 9th month of Lao calendar which corresponds to Boun Khao Padap Din ( festival of rice-packects decorating the earth).
