From Talavera, Bishop of the Holy Church of Cuba, promoted to Guatemala on March 9, 1564, governing until 1569, when he died in the Village of Santa Ana Grande. His remains were brought back and buried in the Chapel of the Sacrarium of this Holy Church. Doctor Tomas López was appointed to succeed him and after his resignation the Reverend Father Brother Alonzo Mella of the order of Saint Dominic, who also refused to accept.
