From Mexico, an Inquisitor of the Holy Tribunal of the Inquisition of New Spain, elected Bishop of the Holy Church of Guatemala in 1643, arriving on September 16, 1644; he governed until January 25, 1650, when he died and was buried in his Holy Church.
