Bishop of the Holy Church of Nicaragua, promoted to Guatemala on March 9, 1574, and governed until July 1, 1598 when he died; he was buried in the Church of Santo Domingo (Saint Dominic); Doctor Fernando Ortíz de Hinojosa, from Mexico was appointed to be his Assistant, but he died before being authorized. In his place the Minister Brother Antonio de Hinojosa of the Order of Saint Dominic was elected, but he did not accept. Bishop of the Holy Church of Nicaragua.
