Construction of the 60-inch building, seen from the west-southwest. The wall and roof trusses of the turret are complete, and portions of the shutter railing can be seen. The camera is looking directly on the dome slit. Standing in the aperture is a person in a white coat. The telescope tube, vertically positioned, can be seen through the opening. The curtain wall around the entrance courtyard is complete, with capstones. Shipping crates, covered with corrugated roofing, are positioned near the building. Other crates, and a wagon, are near the left edge of the frame. A "RANSOME" machine is visible near the right edge of the frame. Written on the plate is "1932 June 2".
