Man leaning against a small rail-mounted telescope enclosure, partially open. The boxy telescope, on a fork mount, is atop a hip-high rectangular pier, with a C-clamp shaped equatorial assembly. Wiring and switches can be seen on the western face of the pier. An elevated work surface surrounds the pier. The southern half of the roll-off enclosure has outer cladding; the northern half is only a framework. The man, slightly balding, wears a collared shirt, a jersey, and coveralls. He is standing south of the telescope, between the rails. The ground immediately beneath the enclosure is paved, and extends north and north-west out of frame. The telescope is most likely the 1.5-inch Cook Camera. The AM series of plates were taken with this camera between 1935 April and 1953 March. n/a. Extent: 1 glass plate.
