Crated telescope mirror and hat

Two unidentified people, partially visible, stand on opposite sides of a large wooden crate, which has its lid open. Inside is a large mirror, reflective side uppermost, inside a cell. Packing material can be seen around the cell. On top of the mirror lies a pith helmet, a very unusual place to place anything! Based on the helmet, the mirror is judged to be about 60 inches in diameter. At the top edge of the frame, a hook can be seen. Unknown location. The background is not inconsistent with Boyden Observatory. n/a. Extent: 1 lantern slide. Size and dimensions of original material: Height 8.2 cm, width 10.2 cm, thickness 0.2 cm.
