Ravanio

Ravanio, a folk musical instrument of Rajasthan, essentially played by Arha Bhopas mostly found in Udaipur region. Ravanio is a bowed string instrument made up of coconut shell fixed to a bamboo. Parchment is pulled over the shell and fixed with wooden nails which project out of the shell. The bow is kept over it. Custodial history: Collection of Komal Kothari, housed at Rupayan Sansthan.
