Portrait photo of the Pastor Ivan Sechanov's Evangelical family from Plovdiv. Ivan Sechanov was born in 1854 in Samokov. He remained an orphan, but his uncle Khristodul Sechanov, who is one of the translators of the Bible translation into Bulgarian in 1871, took care of him. Ivan Sechanov was sent to study into the Robert College in Tsarigrad (Istanbul). He worked as teacher in Samokov for several years. He was pastor in the churches in the towns of Panagiurishte, Bansko, Asenvograd, Plovdiv and others. Extent: 1 photograph. Condition of original material: Medium quality. Custodial history: Documents and photos were collected by the Evangelical Congregational Church (ECC) pastors, while some of the materials were donated to the Archive of ECC by different Evangelical families and missionary workers.
