Annual Reports (1859-1948)

The annual reports of the British Indian Association consist of the summaries of the annual general meetings of the Association. This often included deliberation upon various important issues (concerning history, political and social sciences among others) and corresponding resolutions passed. The reports are in English.

Extent and format of original material: 62 files.

Physical characteristics: The papers were cheap and transient in nature. In most cases the paper used to print these books was of very poor quality, as a result of which the pages are now yellowed and brittle. Almost all the items are stitched using metal pins which are now rusted and falling apart. The places where these pins are attached to the paper are decayed and covered with rust. While digitising, great care was taken so that we could take photographs of the pages without causing any significant damage to the primary material.

Editor of the original material: British Indian Association.
