The Library of Bauddha Dharmankur Sabha

Custodial history: The Bauddha Dharmankure Sabha (Bengal Buddhist Association) was founded in the year 1892 by the Most Ven’ble Kripasaran Mahasthavir to work for the revival and regeneration of Buddhism in the land of its birth. This association has an eronmous collection of some rare and precious books, journals, specially they have an extra-ordinary collection regarding Buddhist literature and philosophy in Bengali. The institution has generously allowed the archive team to get access to this material for digitization and as per the copyright rules and regulations.

Administrative context: The CSSSC, on realising the importance of copying the collection applied for a grant to the EAP against which EAP921 has been awarded.

Extent and format of original material: 3 series of books, manuscripts, and periodicals.
