The collection consists of early Grandham books in various subjects such as Vaishnavite literature, Saivite literature, epics, minor literature, Sostra and astrology.
The Madras Sanskrit College was founded in February 1906, by an eminent jurist late Honourable V.Krishnaswami Iyer, Former Judge of Madras High Court. The college has been focusing on restoring and rejuvenating the indigenous tradition and culture.
