The Archive of the Monastery of the Dominican nuns of Saint Rose of Santiago de Chile is one of the four most ancient and important archive of feminine writing of the country. Started in 1680 as beguine convent and instituted as a monastery in 1754,the Dominican nuns were characterized by an intense cultural and intellectual life reflected in the documents of the archive, library, and oral tradition and art heritage. Its manuscripts are mostly unknown to researchers.
