Gyankar Vajracharya Collection

This collection of manuscripts belongs to Mr. Gyankar Vajracharya who lives in Bhaktapur. He is a traditional Newari painter by profession. He is very much aware on significance of tangible heritages such as manuscripts. His entire collection is developed by himself. This collection has Buddhist, and Hindu manuscripts. It also has literary texts, and also astrology and Ayurveda. His collection contains mostly Hindu texts related to rituals of Bhairav, Siddhilakshmi, Taleju and other local deities. This is an important collection. A number of manuscripts are rare in this collection. Collected by himself from various sources since his youth. He purchased many of them in his youth.
