The collection consists of early Kannada books in various subjects such as biography, literature, fiction, folk literature, astrology, veterinary medicine. Kannada Saahithya Parishad, Bangalore was established to promote the Kannada language. It strives to promote Kannada language through publishing books, organising literary seminars and promoting research projects. It also organises an annual conference on Kannada literature called Kannada Sahithya Sammelana. 372 printed Books.
