Commercial letter copying books [1884-1965]

The three letter copying books are from two different stages of the family business and reflect its daily activities. The oldest one, Santa Fe Railway, goes from 1884 to 1888 and contains handwritten ink copy letters sent during the construction of the Ferrocarril de Santa Fe a las Colonias. The first pages were ripped of leaving only small edge of each folio.The other two (1955-1959 and 1959-1965) has around 1000 pages each of typed copies. They have typed copies of letters signed with the name Hume Hermanos by Mario Araneo, representative of the company,and Roland C. Hume. It is from during the last phases of the firm. The topics of the letters are related to accounts, administrative issues and also the work in some projects as stone provision to Ferrocarril General Urquiza.
