Dambadarjaa Monastery Collection of Buddhist Manuscripts

The Collection contains digitized copies of 51 manuscripts from the Dambadarjaa Monastery. The texts in the manuscripts cover a range of topics including medicine, education, wisdom, local and epic history and folklore. Others provide spiritual advice or instruction for praising the gods and mental healing. The original manuscripts were believed to have been created and collected by the monastery between 1890s and 1920s. Both wood block prints and handwritten copies of many of the manuscripts are still used for services offered to the public by the monastery.
