This collection is held at the original residence of R. A. Lorrain, founder of the Lakher Pioneer Mission to the Mara or Lakher tribe of eastern Lushai Hills (what is today Maraland in Mizoram). The collection is unique in providing a glimpse into the religious history of a marginalized tribe.
