Seenar Samath collection of Malay songs [late 20th century]

Description: 2 typed Malay pantuns were digitised for the pilot project. This is part of a larger collection of other documents include letters, magazines and articles concerning Malays in Sri Lanka. There are also articles supplied for ‘Terang’ magazine, as former owner, Nizam Samath, was editor of it. Also there is a file containing documents regarding the Bogambara Malay Military mosque which includes the plan, constitution, details of trustees etc. Extent and format of original material: Several poems, articles about the Malays, file of documents related to Malay mosque in Kandy. Physical characteristics of original material: Papers arranged in a cardboard file. Some faded but most in very readable condition.
