Serigne Ndiame Diajkhate Collection

The collection consists of digital copies of two volumes of Wolofal (Wolof Ajami) manuscripts copied as part of the EAP 334 project. The volumes deal with Sufism, the teachings of Muridiyya, its core values, ethos, belief system, and the sociocultural challenges facing the order in its early days. Gora Diakhate copied the first manuscript by hand from the original. Based upon the interview with the current owner, the original was written between 1902 and 1954 by Serigne Mbaye Diakhate in Khourou Mbacke, Diourbel. The second manuscript is a photocopy of the original material written by Serigne Mbaye Diakhate in 1948 in Khourou Mbacke.
