The Myang ’das, or Mahaparinirvana Sutra group, delves into the Buddha’s final days and presents profound Mahayana teachings on topics such as emptiness, death, Buddha-nature, and enlightenment. This collection, comprising three volumes, is crafted in the traditional poti format. The text is meticulously inscribed in uchen script with black ink on cream-colored Bhutanese handmade paper, with the first page of each volume adorned with gold ink on dark blue paper. Revered as a sacred relic, the collection is housed on newly constructed bookshelves within the Dzong fortress. Each volume is carefully wrapped in multiple layers of cloth, encased between two wooden boards, and securely fastened with a belt. This meticulous preservation reflects the deep reverence accorded to the collection, ensuring its sanctity and endurance for future generations.

Extent: 3 volumes of manuscripts.
