The First Section is the oldest information preserved in the San Francisco de Lima Archive. It is made up of two subgroups that are the Registration Books and the Novice Books. Originally, the documentation of both subgroups was loose, so this documentation was organized and bound in two different periods, in order to avoid its loss. The Registration Books were bound in 1777, while the Novices were bound in 1875.
Extent: 47 Books (6 Novices - 41 Records).
