The Montevideo Times was a Montevideo newspaper written in English for the Anglophone immigrant community of Uruguay. The newspaper was established in 1888 under the name The River Plate Times until it was changed in 1890 to The Montevideo Times. Its owner and chief editor was William Huskinson Denstone (1867 to 1925). The newspaper was fundamental for the British-Uruguayan community and for the British investors settled in Uruguay at that time. In 1936 the newspaper closed its operations.
The Montevideo Times fue un periódico de Montevideo escrito en inglés para la comunidad inmigrante anglófona de Uruguay. El periódico se estableció en 1888 con el nombre de The Riverplate Times hasta que éste se cambió en 1890 a The Montevideo Times. Su dueño y redactor jefe era William Huskinson Denstone (1867 a 1925). El periódico fue fundamental para la comunidad británica-uruguaya y para los inversores británicos asentados en Uruguay en esa época. En 1936 el periódico cerró sus operaciones.
