The personal collection of V.M. Abdulla Moulawi consists of canonical texts of fiqh, tasawwuf and astronomy and fatwas of scholars. Most of the docuemnts preserved in this collection are inherited from his brother, V.M. Moosa Moulawi, who was a famous scholar in Kerala. The collection includes mainly the texts taught in dars or Islamic seminaries. The texts which fit into the context of this project are dealing mainly with Islamic astronomy, methods for fixing the direction of Qibla etc. This collection has not been listed while idnetifying the sources for digitization. The person who owns this collection is willing to provide the collection for digitization.
Custodial history: Most of the works were taught in the dars as text books. This colelction is built mainly with the materials purchased or donated by others.
Arrangement: Preserved, but not scientifically, kept in shelves. No proper classifcation and cataloguing schemes have been followed.
