As of 2019, there are 56 manuscripts in the Sumsel Museum collection: consisting of 14 kaghas manuscripts: 18 European paper manuscripts: and 1 horn manuscript; 23 stone printed books. Some of the manuscripts contain stories about jungle, medicine, history, Palembang saga and the genealogy of Palembang kings, stories about Palembang and the story of the prophet Muhammad SAW, language, jurisprudence, and Sufism. Custodial history: The Sumsel State Museum obtained a collection of manuscripts from a grant from the people of South Sumatra; royal family; Traditional Stakeholders; Descendants of Ulama and indemnification grants. In 2017, it had a collection of 15 manuscripts, and in 2019 it increased to 59 manuscript collections, with various types of media used.
