Lubnan (Lebanon): During the Mutasarrifate, Mount Lebanon Mutasarrif Davud Pasha published Lubnan in Arabic and French as Lebanon’s first official gazette over four pages in 1867. Its publication was halted under Mount Lebanon’s second Mutasarrif Franco Nasri Pasha who considered Hadiqat Al-Akhbar as Lebanon’s official gazette in 1868. The publication of Lubnan was resumed on October 1, 1891 in Baabda under Mutasarrif Vaso Pasha and his son-in-law Kupelian Effendi as a semi-official journal distributed by Ibrahim Bey Al-Aswad.
"لبنان": شهد لبنان أولى صحفه الرسميّة في زمن المتصرفيّة مع متصرّف جبل لبنان داود باشا الّذي أصدر جريدة "لبنان" الرسميّة في أربع صفحات عام 1867، وكانت تصدر باللغتَين العربيّة والفرنسيّة. ولكن تمّ تعطيل الجريدة على أيّام حاكم الجبل الثاني فرنكو نصري باشا الذي اعتبر "حديقة الأخبار" جريدة لبنان الرسميّة سنة 1868. لكنّ جريدة "لبنان" عادت تصدر في تشرين الأوّل من العام 1891 بعناية المتصرّف واصل باشا وصهره كوبليان أفندي في بعبدا، وكانت شبه رسميّة إذ كان صاحب امتيازها إبراهيم بك الأسود.
