The collection of the Manuscripts of the Great Al-Omari Mosque covers a wide series of Islamic sciences and the humanities. The collection describes important and rare manuscripts, for examples: The valuable literary (Diwan) of the poet Ibn Zuqqah Al-Ghazzi and Fatwas of the Scholar Tamrtashi Al-Ghazzi.

تغطي المخطوطات في المسجد العمري مجموعة واسعة من العلوم الإسلامية والإنسانية, وكما تشتمل على مجموعة من المخطوطات المهمة والنادرة مثل مجموعة الشعر (ديوان) للشاعر ابن زقاعة الغزي, وفتاوى العالم التمرتاشي الغزي.

Custodial history: The manuscripts had been endowed as a Waqf by scholars of southern Palestine, especially from the Gazans. The most important collection and the largest part of it was endowed from Shaykh Abu Al-Mawahib Ali Al-Dajani the former Mufti of Jaffa. He gave his manuscripts to Mr. Yusuf Al-Dajani in 1944 AD and from Mr. Yusuf the manuscripts were reached to Gaza.
