Samantak Das Collection of Popular Market Bengali Books [1990-2008]

This fonds consists of 78 books digitised as part of the EAP127 project. The original material dates from 1990-2008.

The books cover a wide range of subjects typical of Bengali street publications, including: popular literature such as detective stories and ghost stories; books concerning religious practice and rites; teaching manuals and instructional guides; song books; puzzles and jokes; poems; language guides and primers; recipe books; books concerning health, medicine and homeopathy; legal guides; and books of general knowledge.
